---
## 2. Scope
This Policy applies to information we collect through the Services, including our website, mobile application, paid membership community, consulting intake, mission and rank features, and any related communications. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that we link to or integrate with, each of which maintains its own privacy practices.
---
## 3. Information We Collect
**Information you provide directly.** We collect information you give us when you create an account, subscribe to a membership tier, request consulting, contribute funds, participate in missions, contact support, or otherwise interact with the Services. This may include:
- Identity and contact details such as your name, username, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- Account and profile information, including any biography, photo, affiliations (for example, veteran or first-responder status if you choose to share it), and preferences.
- Billing information such as the payment method, billing address, and transaction history. Full payment card numbers are processed by our payment processors and are not stored on our systems.
- Communications you send us, including messages, survey responses, and support requests.
- Content you submit, including posts, comments, mission submissions, media, and other user-generated content.
**Information collected automatically.** When you use the Services, we and our providers may automatically collect:
- Device and connection data such as IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, and language settings.
- Usage data such as pages and screens viewed, features used, missions completed, time spent, and referring URLs.
- Approximate or precise location data, where you enable it, to surface local missions and relevant content.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 7.
**Information from third parties.** We may receive information from payment processors, analytics providers, advertising partners, and platforms you use to sign in or share content, consistent with their policies and your settings.
---
## 4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including accounts, membership tiers, and the mission and rank system.

- Operate community features, moderate content, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Analyze usage, improve and develop the Services, and measure performance.

---
## 5. The Mission, Rank, and Blockchain Features
The Services include gamified humanitarian missions, a points and rank system, and blockchain-based validation of certain ranks or achievements.
If you participate, please understand that information written to a public or distributed ledger, such as a rank or achievement record, may be permanent, publicly visible, and effectively impossible for us to alter or delete. We design these features to avoid writing sensitive personal information to any ledger, but you should not submit information you are unwilling to have recorded permanently. Points, ranks, and on-ledger records have no monetary value and are not a cryptocurrency, security, or financial instrument.
---
## 6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below:
- **Service providers.** With vendors who perform services for us, such as hosting, payment processing, analytics, email and SMS delivery, customer support, and security.
- **Payment processors.** With processors who handle billing. Your relationship with them is governed by their terms and privacy policies.
- **Blockchain networks.** As described in Section 5, certain records may be written to a public or distributed ledger.
- **Affiliated organizations.** With your consent or at your direction, for example if you ask to connect with We Fight Monsters or another affiliated program.
- **Legal and safety.** When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Owen Army, our users, or the public.
- **Business transfers.** In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as a business asset.
- **With your direction.** Anytime you choose to share information publicly or with third parties through the Services.
Depending on your jurisdiction, certain analytics or advertising activities may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under state law. See Section 12 for your choices.
---
## 7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your settings, analyze usage, and measure marketing. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings, and through any consent tools we provide. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Services function.
---
## 8. Marketing, Email, and SMS
With your consent where required, we may send you marketing emails and text messages, including about membership, missions, events, and fundraising. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message. For text messages, message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages such as receipts and account notices.
---
## 9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Records written to a public or distributed ledger may persist regardless of account deletion, as described in Section 5.
---
## 10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
---
## 11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of certain processing, including targeted advertising or any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
- Receive a copy of certain information in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@owenarmy.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. If an authorized agent submits a request on your behalf, we may require proof of authorization.
**California, Virginia, Colorado, and other state residents.** Where applicable state privacy laws apply, you have the rights described above and may appeal a denied request by contacting us at the address in Section 14.
---
## 12. Do Not Track and Opt-Out Signals
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the associated browser or device.
---
## 13. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at privacy@owenarmy.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
---
## 14. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party sites and services, including affiliated organizations, payment processors, and social platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
---
## 15. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
---
